Hot desking is becoming an increasingly popular choice of planning work spaces due to the fact that it is an economically driven solution. This leads to a depersonalised work environment which affects the morale of the workers and their creativity. The fact that the same workspace is used by several users raises a health and safety issue, as this is not hygienic and germs spread more easily.

 

A solution to all these issues is the creative satchel which meets the individual requirements of the worker. The satchel is unfolded and laid out on a desk similar to a smooth tablecloth. It comes in different colours and can be customised by printing its surfaces. The outer layer is made of leather and the inner layer out of silicone, which has several different size pockets that accommodate all necessary items for work. The computer embedded between the layers is connected to a flexible screen and touchpad, rubber keyboard and flexible hardware. The detachable pouch that comes with the satchel can be used for lunch or other personal items that need to be kept out of sight.

 

The concept behind the satchel is meant to deliver a solution that promotes individuality, enhances creativity and gives a sense of personal space as opposed to a plain and depersonalised work environment. The satchel does not raise any health and safety concerns as it is a personal item. It is a mobile office packed into a satchel that gives the user the option to work from any place.
