Sustainability

Hawkins Globe Hotel will function as sustainable as possible in order to save energy and any other fossil fuel based resources. The existing slate roof will be replaced with solar panels in order to reduce energy consumption. All the lighting fixtures will be energy efficient and with motion detection sensors that will turn off when there is no activity. Water will also be saved in several ways. The taps will be with high pressure to reduce the water consumption by half. The proposed toilets use 6 litre per flush which half of a normal toilet. Grey water will be recycled and reused within the hotel for flushing the toilets.
